Wonderful

Good focused environment for Dutch learning. Good resources and brings together classmates that you can connect together for a condusive learning environment. You will come out with a greater Dutch level and inspiration to continue learning hard. Tim is a great teacher and facilitates that. Although his teaching is a bit too quickly (into Dutch) and if I didnt have the foundation with my previous class, it would have been really hard to follow

I had a good experience doing English and Chinese. With very good teachers. Only the fact that one course is have of the book is not ideal. After finishing one course I would rather have finished the book. Other schools work through the whole book within one course period. That motivates to continue and enrole for the next level. Ty e fact that uva talen is twice as good xoencive as other language schools and just cover half of the textbook made me decide to continue at another school.

In general, the quality of the Dutch courses has a good reputation, but they also depend on the teachers. Unfortunately, my experience was not the best, and I believe that the teaching methodology and the course overall were mediocre. I was not satisfied with the course. The classes became monotonous, and motivation was lost not only from my perspective, but this was also reflected in the other students. The teacher did not seem to come to class with properly prepared lessons, and the improvisation was noticeable. A significant amount of time was spent on pair activities between two students; in some classes, almost the entire session was dedicated to this type of activity. I understand that group and pair work is essential to practice the speaking part. However, when most of your time is spent speaking with someone whose Dutch level is the same as yours or even lower there is little to no progress. You do not pay for a language course to practice mainly with someone who has the same difficulties as you and potentially reinforce each other’s mistakes. Instead of learning and improving, you end up stagnating and repeating the same errors. Overall, the teaching dynamic and quality caused me to lose my motivation to continue learning the language, which was especially disappointing because I started the course with a lot of enthusiasm and dedication.

Good overall

I am not Dutch and would like to be able to write flawless Dutch. I did the course "Zakelijk Nederlands" which was very helpful. Dutch is full of "little words" so if you forget them, your level of Dutch is evident.
