(Customer support told me the driver tried to phone, but I find that impossible to believe. I had no missed call on my phone. And no message from Vodafone that I had missed any call. No voicemail was left.)
After speaking with customer support, we subsequently got a call back from the supplier of the container and we asked them if they could come back and move the container. They said they would check if it's possible and phone us back at 12pm. They never phoned back.
This caused us stress and led to us requesting the container picked up early (the next day, before the project was completely finished) to avoid any issues with the gemeente.
Overall, the experience with afval.nl was positive, but the actual supply of the container was not. Therefore I would not use afval.nl again.
