Normally, I am not the type of person to leave reviews, but after my recent experience with VAB, I feel compelled to make these issues known.
After experiencing a tire problem late at night on the E40 highway, I contacted VAB for roadside assistance. Despite being promised priority because I was stranded on a major motorway, I was left standing outside for nearly 50 minutes before anyone arrived. Being left in such a dangerous situation for almost an hour is absolutely unacceptable.
When assistance finally arrived, the mechanic confirmed that my car could not be fixed on-site and that I needed a replacement vehicle. However, the process to request a replacement was completely disorganized: their app failed, manual approval was needed but never granted, and repeated attempts to call VAB’s supposed 24/7 support line were ignored. Even the mechanic’s direct line to VAB went unanswered for over an hour. This shows a shocking level of incompetence for a service that advertises 24/7 availability.
Eventually, after much chaos and confusion, I was driven home personally by the mechanic because no proper transport was arranged — which is both unprofessional and unacceptable. I was promised a replacement vehicle would arrive at my home around 1:00 AM, but it did not arrive until after 3:00 AM, following multiple calls and long periods stuck on hold. Communication was virtually non-existent throughout the night.
Additionally, no one ever asked about my driving license category, and a manual car was provided without checking if I could legally drive it. Fortunately, I could, but this negligence could have created even bigger problems.
Furthermore, my damaged vehicle was not delivered to the garage until Friday at 4:30 PM — right before a long weekend when the garage was about to close. This delay meant the garage could not even start repairs, leaving me stranded even longer. Despite the poor service, VAB was very quick to repeatedly call me to return the replacement car, threatening extra charges, but showed no understanding or commercial goodwill for the enormous inconvenience they caused.
In short: my experience with VAB was disastrous from start to finish — extremely unprofessional, disorganized, careless, and absolutely not what you would expect from a roadside assistance service. I am extremely disappointed and would strongly advise others to reconsider relying on VAB for urgent help.
