Neither... Like one or two days after my order you upgraded you recipe. Therefore I got the old recipe with included oil. Will probably not order again because of this. But for comparision to Joylent your "old recipe" (which I got even if you probably already decided to upgrade when I ordered) I think it doesn't take good. It's thick with small bits that get stuck everywhere - almost like protein powder. It doesn't make me feel full. Sorry.
