Thank you for this opportunity. We visited the Van Gogh Museum in mid-January at the end of our recent European trip. It was certainly one of the major Highlights of our journey, which also included the Academia and the Uffizi Gallery in Florence. There was a young 5 year old child traveling with us and she was very engaged with the experience at your institution. Her mother expressed a strong interest in the print purchased and I set about purchasing it and having it delivered to Osaka, where they live. Unfortunately there was a security issue with our Company Credit Card, due to a mishandling of the card by an employee that caused much confusion and delay due to Covid-19, however, eventually all was resolved, the print is on its way to Japan, and by Monday Vincent will share his genius with a happy family in Osaka! I do want to Thank all concerned in helping me work through this process and we all look forward to returning to Amsterdam and the wonderful Van Gogh Museum!
Improvements or suggestions
I did find one issue that could be helpful in the future. When imputing the address for Osaka, Japan, I found that the address fields were not compatible with the traditional Japanese address format. Perhaps there’s a way a programmer could institute a program that would customize the address format with the specific conventions of each country’s address format. There was information omitted due to lack of fields to put the information in. I did include it in the REMARKS section, however, that information did not appear in the address section of the copy of the waybill that I received via email. I’m assuming the Japanese freight companies will resolve this, but it could have more clarity to simplify the process.
