Dish is more user friendly - much more willing to offer promotions!! Case in point: I had been with DirecTV for SEVENTEEN years, never missed a payment, nor was I late with any payments. (I'm not "Trump-ing" you -- it's the absolute truth with no exaggeration.) On THREE SEPARATE occasions I asked DirecTV if they would cut me a deal even for just a couple of months due to the longevity and loyalty I had shown to their company. Answers: NO. NO. NO. No effort at all made to even THINK about the word NO on all three occasions. When I learned what Dish could offer me at LESS THAN HALF THE PRICE I was currently paying for DirecTV, my decision was extremely easy to make. Dish wins, hands down. To heck with DirecTV - they need to learn a few lessons about customer appreciation.

We have not had cable for quite a while and have depended on the internet, so I have no comparison to give you. It was a cost cutting decision then because we are retired and are on a fixed income now. Not even a cost of living for three times under the prior administration! Hopefully that will be changed in the new administration.
